Capitol South Metro Station Reopened After Suspicous Package Search

U.S. Capitol Police have concluded a suspicious package found outside the U.S. Capital South Metro Monday morning is not dangerous.

The Capitol South station has reopened.  The surrounding streets that were closed during the investigation have all been reopened as well.

One person was interviewed by police, and the Hazardous Devices Unit responded to the scene to investigate.

It wasn't clear whether additional precautions were being taken because of the shooting Saturday of U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who was wounded during a meeting with constituents in Arizona, according to the AP.
