Suspects Use Stolen Truck to Ram Into 7-Eleven, Take ATM

Five suspects used a stolen pickup truck to crash into a 7-Eleven and take the convenience store's ATM, Prince George's County police say.

About 4 a.m. Wednesday, the truck backed into the glass front windows and knocked the ATM off of its base at the 7-Eleven on Edgewood Road in College Park, Maryland.

The suspects then loaded the ATM into the truck and sped off.

Police said there were employees inside the store at the time, but no one was hurt.

Later Wednesday, police found the pickup at Barnard Hill Park on Eastern Ave. NE in D.C. A damaged ATM was also found near the truck, but police couldn't confirm if it's the same machine. Empty cash drawers from an ATM were also found in the wooded area.

News4 got in touch with the owner of the stolen truck, Saul Navidad. He said he discovered it was missing when he left his house Wednesday morning for work.
