Suspected Butt Slasher Remains in Jail

The accused butt slasher remained in jail Wednesday after being extradited back to the United States from Peru Tuesday.

Johnny Pimentel, 41, is being held without bail, accused of slashing the buttocks of nine women in the Fairfax area from February through July 2011. He targeted women at malls and shopping centers throughout the county, police said, usually distracting his victim before cutting them with a box cutter.

Pimentel faces a preliminary hearing in February.

He was arrested near a shopping mall in Lima, Peru, in January. U.S. marshals took him into custody Monday and delivered him to Fairfax County police Tuesday.

None of the victims suffered serious physical injuries from the attacks.

Pimental was charged with six counts of malicious wounding, two counts of attempted malicious wounding and one count of forging a public document.
