Surveillance Video Shows DC Sexual Assault Suspect

D.C. police have released surveillance video of a sexual assault suspect in the hopes of catching him.

About 4 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, the suspect forced a victim into a shed behind a house in the 1100 block of 51st Street NE and sexually assaulted them, police said.

A surveillance camera at a nearby convenience store captured video of the suspect.

The sexual assault happened about two blocks away from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District Station. Several churches and Burrville Elementary School are also nearby.
