The calendar may say it's fall, but summer looks like it wants to stick around -- and Storm Team4 Chief Meteorologist Doug Kammerer is predicting warmer than average temperatures through the entire fall season.
Kammerer says September has been very warm and dry.
"We're on pace for the third-warmest September ever and also on pace for one of the, if not the, driest Septembers ever," Kammerer said.
Those warm and dry trends will likely continue right into October.
Kammerer is also forecasting above average temperatures through October and the rest of fall, which includes November and the first part of December.
"December is looking especially warm when compared to the average," Kammerer said.
As for rainfall, Kammerer says to expect more rain than average and October could be an especially wet month.

To the dismay of allergy sufferers, all of these factors lead to an extended allergy season.
Warm weather and September's dryness is also a bad sign for fall foliage.
"The trees are just too dry to give us the autumnal show we look forward to in our region," Kammerer said.
Instead of bright yellows, reds and oranges, Storm Team4 expects dull colors on the trees.
"You may have already seen leaves falling in your area that are brown and crunchy. Instead of changing colors, the leaves are just dying as a result of the very warm and very dry conditions," Kammerer said.
