A man says he found his elderly father beaten and robbed at his home in Rockville, Maryland.
A photo shows 79-year-old Satpal Singh laying in a hospital bed with a swollen face and covered in blood.
Singh's son, Mandeep Narula, told News4 his father has several scars and a fractured cheek bone.
"His eyes are all very swelled up and bloody," Narula said.
"That’s a quite violent crime against an elderly individual. That's quite shocking."
Narula said he discovered his father after the beating.
"I see him laying in a pool of blood and I got scared," he said.

Narula says a man beat Singh, stole his wallet with $800 cash, credit cards and checks.
Singh's house was under renovation and Narula said he believes the attacker could have been a contractor.
Montgomery County police are investigating.
