Slain Virginia Tech Student's Mom To Speak At Vigil

Morgan Harrington remembered at “Take Back The Night”

The mother of slain Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington will speak at a vigil in Charlottesville this Thursday honoring victims of sexual violence.

The annual Take Back the Night vigil is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Washington Park.  According to the Daily Progress, Gil Harrington will talk about societal violence and her 20-year-old daughter's disappearance and death.

Morgan Harrington disappeared in October 2009 after leaving a Metallica concert at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.  Her remains were found in January 2010 in a hayfield in Albemarle County.  No arrests have been made.
