Six Flags Has 2,000 Jobs to Fill, Including for Costume Characters

Six Flags America is seeking to hire 2,000 people ahead of when the park is set to reopen for the season in late March.

Staff at the theme park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, are interviewing applicants daily for jobs in games, retail, security, rides and more, the park announced Monday.

You could become a performer at the theme park. An open casting call will be held Saturday, Feb. 3 for people to play the costume characters. On that day, they also will interview potential character escorts, ushers and technicians, as well as workers in the costume shop.

Six Flags will interview singers and dancers the following day, Sunday, Feb. 4. Applicants are instructed to prepare two songs "varying in style and tempo," the park said in a statement. Dancers must prepare a one- to two-minute dance combination. Potential dancers who are called back may be asked to sing.

Applicants must apply online at sixflagsjobs.com.
