Shotgun Pulled in I-270 Road-Rage Incident

Montgomery County police shut down a section of I-270 Saturday morning to arrest a motorist who was allegedly threatening another driver with a shotgun.

Police said the incident began when the two drivers were heading southbound on I-270 near Rockville.  Both drivers pulled over on the shoulder and began arguing.  During the confrontation, the weapon was drawn, according to police.

Mongtomery County police had their own weapons drawn while appreheding the gunman, but reported that he did not resist arrest.

Cpl. Dan Friz said the armed motorist faces a variety of charges.
