Seven Injured in Multiple Shooting in N.E.

Authorities said as many as seven people were shot in Northeast DC Saturday evening.  At least six young men were taken to area hospitals.

The shooting occurred shortly after 6pm in the 4100 block of Minnesota Avenue N.E. near the Minnesota Avenue Metro Station.

The victims were standing at a bus shelter when someone started shooting into the group.  The gunman got away on foot, according to investigators.

Most of the victims suffered graze wounds, none of which were life threatening.

The city’s fire department spokesman Pete Piringer said two 14-year old boys and four 18-year old men were involved in the shooting.

Investigators said some of the teens attended a Go-Go event at Paradise day a couple of blocks away.  No were arrest were made.
