Beltway's Outer Loop Reopens After Serious Crash

The Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway is back open after a serious crash closed the busy interstate ahead of the morning rush.

The crash happened at VA-123 in the Tysons Corner area about 5 a.m. Monday. All lanes of the Outer Loop were closed for just over an hour, causing massive delays in the area.

The Outer Loop reopened about 6:30 a.m.

Virginia State Police have not released many details about the crash, but say a car involved overturned and caught fire.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
