Serial Butt Slasher Located, Police Say

Police think he fled the country

Police in Fairfax County believe the suspect known as the "serial butt slasher" has fled the country and is in Peru.

Johnny Guillen Pimentel, 40, is accused in a series of attacks on women in shopping centers in northern Virginia.

Now, officials say he's been in Lima, Peru, since mid-December.

Surveillance video shows Pimentel at several of the shopping areas where the slashings took place.

Police say he would distract young women shoppers, and then cut their buttocks with a razor blade or box cutter.

He's suspected in nine attacks between February and July.

A warrant was issued for his arrest in September.

His brother told the Washington Post that Pimentel was not known to be violent or aggressive.

Fairfax County officials say it's not clear how the suspect got to Peru, or whether he can be brought back to the United States to face charges.
