The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia is holding a forum on the state of higher education in Virginia.
The three-hour forum begins at 9 a.m. Monday in House Room 3 at the Virginia Capitol in Richmond.
The council says it's asked several Virginia leaders to share their ideas on what role it should play in addressing challenges and opportunities that Virginia's colleges and universities face.
Council members will discuss input received during the forum following the event.
On Tuesday, the council will hold a regular business meeting at the James Monroe Building in Richmond. The agenda includes newly created guidelines on awarding credit for military training, education, and experience.
