For the first nine seasons of his NFL career, Washington pass rusher Ryan Kerrigan suited up with one logo on his helmet and one nickname painted on the field.
But as he enters his 10th season with the club, the four-time Pro Bowler will sport different letters across his chest in 2020. That will be different.
The team officially rebranded as the 'Washington Football Team' for the 2020 season nearly a month ago after retiring its old name and logo in July following immense pressure from public sponsors.
While Washington does plan on having a new moniker for the 2021 season and beyond, Kerrigan told local media on Tuesday that he actually does kind of like the temporary rebrand.
"Ultimately, I'm cool with the change," Kerrigan said. "I like it. I think the name is actually kind of cool. Washington Football Team, I know a lot of soccer teams have different names that are F.C. and whatnot. So I think it's kind of cool."

Washington has a throwback and classy vibe to it by going with the name 'Football Club' for 2020. The team also showcased new uniforms for the upcoming season to reflect the rebrand, and they're arguably an even better look than the team's old jersey combination.
As the team continues to go through the process of selecting a moniker, Washington has asked for fan input on the matter. The team has received over 5,000 responses thus far and has shared a few of the submissions they've received on their official Twitter account.
When the team decided to officially retire the old name and logo in July, the statement emphasized choosing a new name that would proudly represent the culture and city for the "next 100 years."

While Kerrigan has plenty of great memories playing under the franchise's old name, the pass rusher is excited to be part of the new era moving forward in the nation's capital.
"I've got to be a part of one tradition, and I hope to be a part of this one going forward," Kerrigan said.
