An early Sunday morning rowhouse fire drove many people from their homes in northwest Washington.
Officials said the fire started in the lower level in a rowhouse at 14th and Meridian in the Columbia Heights area. The fire and smoke from the two-alarm blaze then moved to some of the adjacent homes.
Residents were able to evacuate, and no one was injured.
Fire investigators didn’t have a cause of the fire yet. There has been no word on the amount of damage to the homes.
