Ron George Picks Shelley Aloi as Running Mate

Del. Ron George has picked former Frederick Alderman Shelley Aloi to be his running mate in Maryland's Republican primary race for governor.

George made the announcement on Tuesday morning in Annapolis.

Aloi just finished serving four years as alderman in Frederick. She currently works as a banking analyst.

George, of Anne Arundel County, has been a member of the Maryland House of Delegates since 2007.

He is running for the GOP nomination against Harford County Executive David Craig, real estate broker Larry Hogan, and Charles County businessman Charles Lollar.

Craig has announced Del. Jeannie Haddaway as his running mate. Hogan has picked Boyd Rutherford. Lollar announced Monday that Kenneth Timmerman is his running mate.
