A U.S. Park Police officer was struck while riding his motorcycle on Rock Creek Parkway Thursday morning.
The officer suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The driver of the striking vehicle remained on the scene. The accident is under investigation.
The P Street ramp off the southbound lanes of the parkway is currently closed to traffic.
