Several roads around the U.S. Capitol will be closed to traffic at 7 p.m. Tuesday for President Obama's State of the Union address,
These roads will stay closed throughout the speech.

- 2nd Street, NE from Constitution Avenue, NE to C Street, SE
- C Street, NW from Louisiana Avenue, NW to 2nd Street, NE
- C Street, SE from Washington Avenue, SW to 2nd Street, SE
- Constitution Avenue, NW from 1st Street, NW to 2nd Street, NW
- D Street, NE from Louisiana Avenue, NW to 2nd Street, NE
- Delaware Avenue, NE from Columbus Circle to Constitution Avenue, NE
- Delaware Avenue, SW from Washington Avenue, SW to C Street, SW
- East Capitol Street, SE from 1st Street, SE to 2nd Street, SE

The Coast Guard also has declared a security zone on the Potomac and Anacostia rivers, which will restrict river traffic starting at 5 p.m. and lasting through the State of the Union address.
In addition, there will be emergency no parking zones declared before and during the address. Here are the zones and the restrictions:
- 15th Street between Independence Avenue, SW & New York Avenue, NW. On both sides of the street, emergency no parking rules will be enforced. No parked or standing vehicles allowed.
- Pennsylvania Avenue, NW between 15th Street and 3rd Street, NW. On both sides of the street, emergency no parking rules will be enforced. No parked or standing vehicles allowed.
- Third Street, NW/SW between Constitution Avenue NW and Independence Avenue SW. On both sides of the street, emergency no parking rules will be enforced. No parked or standing vehicles allowed.
- Constitution Avenue, NW between 4th Street NW and 1st Street NW. On both sides of the street, emergency no parking rules will be enforced. No parked or standing vehicles allowed.
- Independence Avenue, SW between 7th Street and 3rd Street, SW. On both sides of the street, emergency no parking rules will be enforced. No parked or standing vehicles allowed.
