Authorities in Spotsylvania County are looking for a man who stole a $30,000 ring from a jewelry store, the county's sheriff's office said.
It happened Wednesday at Helzburg Diamonds in Spotsylvania Towne Center.
The man asked an employee to see several diamond rings before leaving to make a phone call, a store employee told members of the sheriff's office.
That man came back a short time later and asked to see another diamond ring, according to officials in the sheriff's office.
While the sales person was getting additional information on the ring, the man ran out of the store with it, the sheriff's office said.
He did not make any threats and didn't show any weapons, authorities said.
This is the third time a larceny like this has been reported, according to the sheriff's office.
