Residents Displaced After 2-Alarm Fire in Marlow Heights

At least 12 apartment units are damaged and residents living in those units are displaced after a 2-alarm fire in Marlow Heights on Wednesday, fire officials said.

Prince George's County firefighters were called to 4867 St. Barnabas Road about 6:25 p.m., according to Prince George's Assistant Fire Chief Alan Doubleday.

Doubleday said two apartments on the top floor of the building were on fire and the fire was burning through the roof.

There are 12 units in the apartment building and those residents have been displaced, Doubleday said.

The fire did not spread to either of the other two buildings connected to the building where the fire started.

Doubleday said no one was injured and no one had to be rescued.
