Redskins Game Means Metro Open Late

Monday night football game to increase ridership

Metro is opening its doors and staying open late for riders on Monday night.

Metro says its staying open until 1 a.m. Tuesday to accommodate crowds for the Redskins football game. The Skins face the Pittsburgh Steelers at FedEx Field at 8:30 p.m. Monday.

Metro will have additional personnel at the Morgan Boulevard and Largo Town Center Metrorail stations on the Blue Line. If necessary, Metro will also have several additional trains available after the game.

Metro wishes to remind its customers that parking will not be free on Monday night. Riders parking at any Metro parking facility must have a SmarTrip card to exit.
