Redskins On The Pro Bowl Ballot

The 2012 Pro Bowl ballot has been released and it’s filled with Redskins.

Of course, almost every NFL starter is listed so it’s a pretty much an obligation that those Redskins have been included. It’s also a bit of bad luck for Rex Grossman. Had the ballot been released last week, it would have been his name in the QB slot instead of John Beck’s.

Neither quarterback deserves a Pro Bowl nod, but that will be up to the fans to decide.

Despite the team’s sub par performance this season, there are a few Redskins who deserve to at least be considered for the Pro Bowl roster.

Brian Orakpo and Adam Carriker have been a pass rushing nightmare for opposing quarterbacks with 4.5 sacks each and rookie Ryan Kerrigan has been a good addition with 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and a returned touchdown. Fred Davis has stepped up with a solid performance at tight end in the absence of Chris Cooley with 28 receptions for 423 yards and 2 touchdowns under his belt.

Of course none of those stats are even close to league leading, but being a Redskins fan right now is all about finding the little things to be happy about.

The voting happens here. Which Redskins deserve your vote?
