Red Line trains single-tracked between the Judiciary Square and Farragut North stations due to smoke in the Gallery Place station Thursday afternoon.
D.C. Fire and EMS was called to the station just before 3 p.m.
Debris in a power pit wall caused the smoke, Metro spokesman Dan Stessel said.
Single-tracking ended before 3:30 p.m.
