A water main break once again disrupted R Street.
D.C. Water crews responded to a water main break on R Street between Connecticut Avenue and 21st Street NW -- the same main that broke just one week ago.
Crews worked to repair the busted eight-inch water main. Traffic was not impacted by the repair work.
Water service was restored to customers in the area by 5:30 p.m.
One restaurant, Sette Osteria, was affected by the break.
There have been 408 breaks in January alone, the combination of cold weather and aging infrastructure an unfortunate match made in heaven for water main breaks.
