Propeller Slices Woman's Arm at Maryland Airport

A woman's arm was partially severed when it was hit by an airplane propeller at a Maryland Airport, according to the Frederick News-Post.

The incident happened at Frederick Municipal Airport.  Officials told the News-Post that the woman got out of the Cessna 172 after it landed Thursday evening and walked around the front of the plane to go to the terminal restaurant when the propeller struck her arm.

The 19-year-old's identity was not released.  She was flown to a Baltimore hospital for treatment, according to the paper.

The incident is under investigation.
