Sixteen schools in Prince George's County and Montgomery County will serve free lunch to students while the school systems are closed.
Schools in both counties closed after a blizzard dumped 2 to 3 feet of snow across the region. Many students rely on their school's meal plan for nourishment, and school officials are concerned that some students are not getting the food they need.
