Priest Fight!

Virginia priest charged with assaulting boss

Jesus is frowning down upon a Catholic Church in Virginia after two priests there got in a fight.

The Rev. Charles C. Smith was removed from his position as associate pastor at Our Lady of Angels in Woodbridge following his arrest on assault charges, InsideNoVA.com reported.

Smith was arrested Nov. 22 after a fight with his boss, the Rev. Paul M. Eversole. Apparently they got into an argument inside the rectory. It escalated and became physical, and Eversole suffered a cut over his eyes.

Smith was charged with unlawful wounding, InsideNoVA.com reported. His next assignment is pending legal proceedings and counseling, according to the Arlington Diocese.

Eversole was much more Jesus-like in forgiving Smith publicly.

Eversole and Smith, both 45, had lived together in the rectory for three years.
