A masked suspect stabbed a pregnant teenager in Rockville, Maryland, police say.
The 18-year-old woman answered the door to a second-floor apartment on Rockville Pike and the suspect stabbed her in her stomach before running off, police said. The apartment is at the intersection of Edmonston Drive and Gail Avenue.
Medics took the teen, who is 32 weeks pregant, to a hospital. Police said she and the baby will be OK and her injuries were minor.
Police are searching for the suspect and say the person was wearing a ski mask.
Police said there's no reason for the public to be alarmed.
Telemundo44 spoke with the teen's family and they said they didn't know why anyone would stab her.
