Power Issue Causing Delays on Blue Line; Service Restored

Riders on Metro's Blue may experience some delays Tuesday morning after a power problem interrupted service on part of the already crippled line.

Blue Line service was  been suspended between the Franconia-Springfield and Arlington Cemetery stations because of a power problem outside the Van Dorn Street station.

Service has been restored, but Metro says riders could see some residual delays.

Blue Line stations in D.C. and Maryland were already shut down for repairs through Aug. 26.

Yellow Line trains are running every 16 minutes at Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn Street, Metro says. Service is close to schedule between the Huntington and Mt. Vernon Square stations.
