A power outage at L'Enfant Plaza closed one entrance and left much of the station dark Friday morning.
According to Metro, the entrance at 9th and D streets is closed, but all other entrances remain open.
Pictures from commuters show dark tunnels and platforms in parts of the station.
Train service is not affected by the outage.
L'Enfant Plaza is on Metro's Yellow, Green, Orange, Blue and Silver lines.
Problems have plagued the transit agency all morning. Just after the morning commute began, two rails cracked outside the East Falls Church station resulting in major delays on the Orange and Silver lines.
