POTUS Takes in Daughter's Soccer Game at DC Park

President Barack Obama took in a soccer game in D.C. Saturday, but it wasn't DC United.

Obama wore a black baseball hat, a black jacket and shades as he watched his daughter Malia play at Rudolph Field in Northwest. He shook hands and chatted with a crowd of girls in soccer uniforms.

Afterward, he had an uneventful drive back to the White House in his black SUV -- a ride common to presidents and soccer moms alike.

But before the game, a motorcyclist slid into the last police vehicle of the president's motorcade at Gallatin and North Capital Street, POLITCO reported.

The biker, apparently unharmed, dusted himself off and biked away.

Though basketball is the president's sport of choice, it's a multi-sport first family. The president tossed the first pitch at the Nationals' home opener last week.

While the Obamas have acknowledged they can't go out in public on a whim, the family is trying its best to lead a normal life for their daughters. In January the first couple spent a Saturday morning watching Sasha play basketball at a Chevy Chase, Md., community center.

The president's Saturday night trip to attend the state funeral of Polish President Lech Kaczynski was canceled due to the flight cancellations caused by the volcanic ash from Iceland.
