Man Abducts Store Manager for Grocery Robbery

Suspect arrested after fleeing scene of crime

BRISTOW, Va. -- Prince William County police have caught and arrested a man they say abducted a grocery store manager from his home Wednesday morning.

A man armed with a handgun abducted a Safeway store manager while he was leaving for work, police said. The suspect approached the victim and forced him to drive to his store in Bristow.

Once at the store, the man told the victim to go inside, get money and bring it back to him.

Police were able to intercept the store manager on his way out of the store, but the suspect was able to flee from the scene.

That suspect is now in custody.
