Woman Charged in Fatal Stabbing of Roommate in Woodbridge Home

A woman is accused of fatally stabbing her roommate at their Woodbridge home over the weekend, Prince William County Police said.

Rasheeda Wright, 39, is charged with murder in the death of Andre Warren, also 39, at the home they shared in the 14800 block of Statler Drive.

Early Saturday, another roommate arrived home to find Warren suffering from a stab wound and called police, who arrived around 12:55 a.m.

Investigators believe Wright and Warren had an altercation sometime during the day Friday, and that Wright stabbed him before leaving the home. Warren was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say that around the same time that investigators were at the house, Wright was detained by sheriff's deputies in neighboring Stafford County on unrelated charges.

Wright had self-inflicted wounds and was taken to a hospital for treatment, police said. She was then connected to the fatal stabbing at the home on Statler Drive.

Wright is being held without bond.

The slaying is the fourth this year in Prince William County.
