Police: Woman Assaulted Student on Prince George's County School Bus

A woman accused of assaulting an adult student on a Prince George's County school bus has been charged.

Owoade Elusanni, 45, was charged with assaulting a 19-year-old student on a bus in Mitchellville on Sept. 2, police said Thursday.

Elusanni, of Lanham, repeatedly struck the student, police said. She was a "private employee hired by another student's family to care for that student," according to police.

The student did not suffer serious injuries, police said.

The assault in the parking lot of C. Elizabeth Rieg Regional School was recorded on a camera on board the bus.

Sources told News4 last month that the victim was a student with autism. Sources said the attacker became frustrated when the student began poking her.

Elusanni was charged with second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. A criminal summons has been issued for her.
