Police Seek Persons of Interest in Nightclub Stabbing

Metropolitan Police are seeking the public's help in identifying individuals seen in surveillance video from a nightclub where two people were stabbed over the weekend.

Police are are calling the two men in the video persons of interest.

Officials said a fight broke out at 2013 14th St. NW around 3 a.m. Sunday, leaving two people with stab wounds.

Three men reportedly assaulted a man and his girlfriend when a verbal confrontation from inside the club was taken outside. The man was stabbed five times in the chest and neck and is in critical condition. The woman was stabbed in the forearm. Both were taken to a nearby hospital.

The suspects fled the area. Police are investigating this case as an assault with intent to kill.

In another incident over the weekend, Anwan Glover, an actor from the HBO series "The Wire,"  was beaten and stabbed inside Cafe Asia, a D.C. nightclub located at 1720 I St. NW.

D.C. Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier has since closed the Cafe Asia -- the order took effect at 6 p.m. Monday and will keep the club closed until at least Friday evening.
