Authorities said they are searching for a man in connection with the robbery and sexual assault of a woman in southeast Washington.
The woman was walking in the 4800 block of Benning Road when she was approached by a man who pointed a handgun at her and forced her into an alley on E Street about 2:10 a.m. Tuesday, police said. The man then robbed and sexually assaulted her.
The man is described as a black man in his 20s, about 5-feet-10-inches tall, with short hair and a beard and mustache. He was wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.
