Police Arrest 1 of 3 Men Who Destroyed Convenience Store

Police have arrested and charged one of the three men who destroyed a convenience store on Georgia Avenue in northwest Washington D.C. June 27.

Police arrested 21-year-old Naol Ayano of Takoma Park, Maryland July 17, and charged him with felony destruction of property.

More than three minutes of surveillance footage shows the suspects throwing trash, slamming items on the ground and kicking things across the floor in the store at the 3000 block of Georgia Avenue, NW.

Suspects covered the floor with food, drinks and trash before exiting the store, the footage shows.

Detectives continue to search for the two remaining suspects, who police said would also face destruction of property charges.
