‘She Was the Best Mom': Woman, Ex-Husband Dead in Vienna Murder-Suicide

A woman in Vienna, Virginia, is being remembered as the "best mom" after police say her ex-husband stabbed her to death and then shot himself.

Vienna police said 47-year-old Sabrina Titus and 53-year-old Ralph Titus appear to have died in a murder-suicide.

Sabrina Titus was a mother of three, including 8-year-old twins.

"I cannot believe I will never see her again and that her kids will never have her. She was the best -- the best mom," neighbor Beth Kenney said.

Sabrina Titus was found severely injured Sunday evening at a home in the 100 block of Oak Street SW. Someone called 911 about 6:50 p.m. Sunday.

A neighbor tried to help her, but her injuries were too severe. Sabrina Titus was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later.

Less than 10 minutes after police received the first call, another caller reported the sound of gunshots at a home at 102 Ross Drive SW, less than a mile away.

There, officers found the body of Ralph Titus in the backyard.

The case remains under investigation, Vienna police said.

Neighbors say Sabrina Titus moved to the home with her children after getting a divorce. One of her 8-year-old twins has severe disabilities and uses a wheelchair.

Outside the victim's home Monday, the child's caregiver collapsed with grief.

"Her daughter now has a severely disabled brother, and she has no parents," Kenney said.

No further information has been released.

CORRECTION (June 13, 2017, 9:48 a.m EST): A previous version of this article erroneously stated the victim had twin girls. Sabrina Titus was a mother of three, including 8-year-old fraternal twins.
