Child Reports Sexual Abuse at Annapolis Chapter of Young Marines

Authorities say the suspect is a 15-year-old squad leader

A child says he was sexually abused while attending the Annapolis chapter of Young Marines over the course of two years.

The child reported the sexual abuse to Anne Arundel County officials Sunday.

The suspect is a 15-year-old squad leader who oversaw younger children in the Young Marines group, police said.

Authorities believe the child was abused while in the suspect's care and custody at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post on Dorsey Road in Glen Burnie, Maryland, and at Downs Park in Pasadena.

The suspect is now facing one count each of second-degree child abuse, third-degree sex offense and fourth-degree sex offense.

Anne Arundel County Police are seeking the public's help to find out if any other children were abused while attending the Young Marines chapter.
