Woman, Man Found Passed Out With Kids in Car; Arrested for Drugs, Police Say

Two people have been charged after police say they were found passed out in a car with drug paraphernalia -- and with a toddler and a baby in the back seat.

Annapolis police say 31-year-old Heather Davidson and 25-year-old Matthew Labonte, both of Laurel, were arrested Saturday.

Both are charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Davidson is also charged with two counts of child neglect.

Officers found Davidson and Labonte slumped over in a car in a convenience store parking lot. Authorities say a 22-month-old child and a 2-month-old infant were also found in the back seat.

Police say a search of the vehicle revealed the ends of two clear plastic bags with suspected heroin residue, two syringe caps and non-prescription pills.

It isn't clear if either Davidson or Labonte have an attorney.
