Large tree has fallen directly into the center of house on 10900 block of Hammond Drive, causing significant damage. Initial reports are that the family sought refuge in the basement of the residence to ride out the storm safely. As a result of their actions, no one was injured in what could have been a catastrophic incident.

An ornamental pear missed my house and the neighbor's cars. Lucky me, in Frederick, MD. This is one of two pear trees that was blown over. We watched from the front door as the roots ripped out of the ground and the pear tree crashed into our maple tree and split it in half. No trees left in my front yard now. The maple tree is buried in the pear tree somewhere. Anyone want firewood?
