Driver Killed in Fiery Crash With Dump Truck in Prince William County

A driver has died after a crash in Prince William County involving a car and a dump truck, police said.

The T-bone crash occurred Wednesday afternoon at Lee Highway and Lake Manassas Drive in Gainesville, police said. Police responded about 3:45 p.m. and found a sedan engulfed in flames.

The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead. The driver of the dump truck reported minor injuries.

Video taken from Chopper4 shows a charred garbage truck with a burnt car in front of it.

Lee Highway is closed in both directions near the scene of the crash. Drivers were asked to avoid the area.

Information on the cause of the collision was not available immediately.

Police had initially said the crash trapped someone inside a garbage truck.
