Person of Interest Sought in Fatal BW Parkway Shooting

Police are asking the public to help them find a person of interest more than a week after a man was found shot to death on a Maryland highway during the peak of rush hour.

Video shows a man walking into a 7-11 store on South Dakota Avenue Northeast  in D.C. about 15 minutes after James Edwards was fatally shot on May 9. Police say they want to talk to this man, but did not specify why.

Edwards, 29, of New Carrollton was found dead on Route 450 above the Baltimore-Washington Parkway about 6:10 p.m., Prince George's County police said.

A gas station clerk told News4 he heard at least five gunshots.

Police said the shooting doesn't appear to be random.

The investigation created traffic delays in the area.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 301-772-4925 or make an anonymous call to 1-866-411-TIPS. There's a $25,000 reward in the case.
