Pat Collins Snowman Challenge Winner Revealed

Pat's Winning Snowman

Congratulations, Washington.... You really know how to build a snow man.

We asked you to participate in the Pat Collins Snowman Challenge, and what a response we got! We received nearly 200 entries of snow sculptures of every description. Even people without snow entered -- it's amazing what you can do with ice cubes.

So how did we pick our favorite?

We assembled a panel of celebrity judges: anchors Aaron Gilchrist and Angie Goff, and morning meteorologist Tom Kierein. After some time using an Olympic judging formula (OK, not really), they came up with five finalists, but just one favorite: The lounging snowman, submitted by Raquel Shaver of Lovettsville, Va.

Shaver's daughters, 12-year-old Tayler and 7-year-old Ashlyn, constructed their creation just for fun -- not for the challenge -- and Shaver simply snapped a photo as she headed down the driveway. But a neighbor mentioned the Pat Collins Snowstick Challenge, and Shaver joined Twitter just to submit a photo.

She's glad she did. The Shaver family was rewarded for their efforts with Pat Collins Snow Stick of their very own, delivered by none other than Pat Collins.
