Teen Dead in Halloween Party Shooting

Aaron Thomas Brice of Silver Spring was found dead at the scene

Police are still trying to figure out a motive in a shooting that left a 19-year-old dead.

Aaron Thomas Brice of Silver Spring was found dead at the scene after shots were fired at a Halloween party in Columbia near Clarksville overnight. Police said they received multiple calls from partygoers at a home in the 11500 block of Manorstone Lane around 1:15 a.m. Sunday about shots fired inside.

Another person was also injured in the shooting. Nathaniel Quick, 22, of Columbia was brought to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore in critical condition; he is expected to survive, but may be paralyzed, police said.

Two other Columbia men, ages 20 and 21, were taken to Howard County General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries that are not related to the shooting, according to investigators. Their names are being withheld as they are considered witnesses, like the other attendees of the party.

More than 100 people were at the party, according to police. Detectives said they do not have information to release about a motive.

Police are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information and are urging anyone with information to call 410-313-3200.
