One man was killed after an accident in Prince Georges County shut down an intersection for about four hours early Saturday morning.
Police said the man was driving southbound on Indian Head Highway when, for unknown reasons, he lost control and hit a guard rail at Palmer Road shortly before 1 a.m. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The intersection remained closed until 5 a.m. The identity of the man has not been released.
No others were injured in the crash.
