Video: Fairfax Firefighter Rescues Dog From Ceiling Vent

After a "ruff" night, Fairfax County Fire pulled off a rescue mission with a pawsitive ending for all.

West Springfield Engine 427 responded to a home Saturday night and discovered a dog was stuck in an HVAC vent, Fairfax Fire/Rescue said.

After some careful consideration, Firefighter Williams cut a hole in the ceiling.

The nervous pup needed a little coaxing to get out, a Fairfax Fire video shows.

"It's okay, I'm not gonna hurt you, take your time," Williams told the pup.

Furry legs emerged from the ceiling first, before Williams retrieved the little white dog.

Fairfax Fire didn't say how the dog got into the vent but said it was a "pawsitive outcome."
