Northern Va. Hotels on Alert After String of Robberies

Hotel owners in Prince William County are on alert after one man robbed four hotels of them in 48 hours.

In every incident, a young man approached the hotel’s front desk and pulled out a handgun. He then took money from the clerk and fled on foot.

Each establishment described the suspect as a black man between 20 and 29 years old with a medium build. No one was hurt at any of the thefts.

Before raiding the Sleep Inn and Wytestone Suites in Woodbridge on Sunday, the suspect robbed the Wyndam Gardens Hotel and Centreville Road Days Inn in Manassas. He’s also believed to be responsible for an Oct. 22 robbery of Manassas’ Residence Inn.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black skull cap, white work gloves and a dark hooded sweatshirt while covering his face with a white cloth.
