One man has died, and a woman and a man are hurt, after a shooting in the same Northeast D.C. block where a man was fatally shot four days earlier.
The triple shooting occurred late Sunday in the 1500 block of 45th Street NE, police said. Officers responded at about 10 p.m.
Corey Wells, of Capitol Heights, Maryland, was killed. He was 40.
A woman and man received non-life-threatening injuries.
On Wednesday night, Alonzo Hines, Jr. was shot multiple times in the same block, which is about a half-mile north of the Benning Road Metro station. The 20-year-old died the next day.
Information on any suspects was not released.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police. A reward of as much as $25,000 is offered.
