NLCS Moves to DC as Nationals Take on Cardinals With 2-0 Series Lead

After no-hit bids into the late innings helped the Washington Nationals take a 2-0 lead over the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Championship Series, the Nats are bringing the series home to D.C. on Monday night.

Postseason star Stephen Strasburg will take the mound for the Nats in Game 3, and 23-year-old ace Jack Flaherty will do so for St. Louis.

The Cardinals had just four hits and one run through the first two games.

The Nats will be looking to hang onto their momentum during Monday night's game, which starts at 7:30 p.m.

Game 4 is set for Tuesday, with Game 5 (if necessary) the following night, both at Nats Park. If the series continues into Games 6 and 7, it will return to St. Louis.

Metro Will Stay Open Late If Needed

Note that Metro is running on a Saturday schedule due to Columbus Day. While the rail system is set to close at 11:30 p.m., Metro has said it will get fans home during postseason games even if they go beyond Metro's normal closing time. The Navy Yard-Ballpark station will remain open for 20 minutes after the end of postseason games when needed. "Any customer in line to enter Navy Yard-Ballpark Station by that time will be accommodated," Metro says on its website.
